Sweeneys Supervalu is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way at the beautifully scenic Achill sound in County Mayo. Serving the local community all year round Sweeneys also serves the many tourists that visit the area in the summer and provides for all of their needs

Paul Flynn from Alternative Energy Ireland (AEI) met with the Ger Sweeney and following a detailed analysis of their requirements proposed a 67.5kw system to both Ger and the Musgraves group which would significantly reduce their energy costs and generate approximately 25% of their energy usage. As Irelands only company able to offer an output guarantee they were delighted to have the reassurance that their investment would return the 32% that had been promised.

Furthermore, and importantly, Sweeneys SuperValu will also save 16T of CO2 emissions per annum.

The Issue

Ger Sweeney was looking at energy upgrades to his building to become more efficient and to reduce his energy bills.

The Solution

Alternative Energy Ireland installed a 67.5kw single branded Autarco solar PV system comprising of 150 highly efficient panels.
