Project Description
This project is one of our favorites. Our installation won an award as the best Renewable Energy Installation in a public building in Northern Ireland. Stormont Castle is one of the best-known castles on our little island. It is also the Parliament Building for Northern Ireland.
The project engineers wanted the best possible solar hot water system available. After a long selection and tendering process, the engineers specified a Kingspan DF400 Solar Hot Water System to provide 60% of the Castles hot water requirements.
There were lots to consider when designing this system. The panels had to be integrated with the old roof and we had to ensure it did not impact the look of the building in any way. Great care was taken when installing this system and you can see this in our YouTube Video on the Stormont Solar Thermal installation.
