What incentives are available for solar?

The Irish government offers grants of up to €1,800 per household through SEAI, depending on home age and system size. Additionally, there is no VAT on the cost of installed systems. Homeowners can sell excess energy back to their energy provider.

Are there warranties are or guarantees?

Yes. Through our partnership with Autarco, we offer Ireland’s only solar system with a cashback guarantee for your peace of mind.

If your system does not perform as promised, you will receive financial compensation for the amount of the loss.

This guarantee is underwritten by Lloyds of London, and lasts for the first 15 years following your installation.

How long do solar panels last?

Our solar panels generally last at least 25 years, with minimal maintenance since they have no moving parts and with recommended cleaning every two years.

Can I sell excess solar power?

Yes, you can sell any excess power back to your energy provider. ESB will install a smart meter, allowing you to seamlessly sell your excess solar power each month.

How long is the wait for solar installation?

I contacted a number of Suppliers and met their representatives but I just wasn’t convinced. Fortunately for me one guy stood out - he was particularly friendly, relaxed, struck up an instant relationship with my German Shepherd, Rebel, over a cup of tea (!), could explain all the 'Solar jargon' in an uncomplicated way, appeared to have endless patience and didn't come across even remotely pushy. The 'deal maker' that locked me in was all of the above plus I felt that he really wanted me to have a successful www.AEI.ie Solar service and investment experience. Daniel Costello is an absolute credit to AEI Solar! I've recommended him and AEI to many neighbours and friends since my installation. It's been 12 months since AEI installed our solar and battery but I only recently bought an EV and at the same time I had development  a small invertor problem and logged a ticket for support. After a number of emails back and forth Trevor called me and explained in simple terms on how a system should be run based on my usage pattern, much more so than any email could explain.
